Title: RF Engineer (RAN)
Responsibilities:
- Perform all engineering duties including and not limited to design, analysis and optimization of wireless sites and networks.
- Responsible for performing associated wireless engineering tasks from time to time.
- Perform network capacity planning, design analysis and engineering of wireless and broadband Radio Access Networks using propagation tools like PlaNET EV, PlaNET DMS, dBPlanner, ATOLL, TEMS CellPlanner, EET, and Wizard Prediction tools.
- Perform all engineering duties related to but not limited to RF Design: propagation modeling and prediction to determine cell site location, determining equipment and power configurations, forecasting channel capacity requirements, planning and optimizing system traffic and developing design standards to ensure system quality.
- Perform RAN design of cellular wireless networks by conducting, link budget analysis, propagation model tuning, site selection, GIS analysis, demand forecast, traffic analysis, cell site equipment selection and configuration of both hardware and software parameters.
- RF Optimization responsibilities will include drive data collection, data analysis, RF parameter recommendations and modifications.
- Perform CW and optimization drive test equipment set-up and calibration of RF test equipment as well as planning and scheduling of drive tests.
- Perform drive test data collection and Analysis of the field collected data, generating the required documentation and reports using TEMS, Agilent Invex, MapInfo, Actix, X-Cal and X-Cap.
- Analyze wireless network performance data and recommend RF and other network parameter modifications to reach and maintain Key Performance Indicators.
- Responsible for conducting network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network capacity.
- Read and ensure full understanding of the contract RF engineering scope of work.
- Engineering activities will span various technologies as CDMA, GSM, EvDO, GRPS, UMTS, WiMAX etc.
- Perform engineering functions related to interconnect equipment and facilities, signaling systems, switches and traffic
Requirements: Minimum education requirement for this position is a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field. Frequent travel required.

Title: Associate Engineer (RAN)
Responsibilities:
- Performs RF design and optimization activities for wireless cellular networks.
- Understands wireless Communication systems and technologies (CDMA, TDMA, FDMA).
- Develops drive testing procedures and carries out the tests and measurements.
- Calibrates equipment.
- Intermediate level of use for MapInfo and other analysis tools.
- Performs analysis of measured data, in order to modify network and enhance performance.
- Measures field data for the base site to identify RF signals frequencies and respective powers and related RF engineering parameters.
- Have full knowledge and/or experience in operating a spectrum analyzer, antennas, CW receiver and using a GPS, as well as data collection tools used during optimization drive testing.
- Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating measurement drive data.
- Knowledge and/or experience with technologies such as CDMA, EvDO, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, and iDEN.
- Understanding of network statistics for cell-level optimization.
- Experience in reducing network-wide drop calls, high interference levels, and poor network access percentages.
- Measured drive data collection tool knowledge such as TEMS, Agilent, Actix, etc.
- Knowledge in RF propagation, link budget, antenna theory, and traffic planning.
- Understanding of vendor specific parameter settings for network performance.
- Optimization of neighbor list for network enhancement.
- Flexible to work under aggressive project time-lines and open to work overtime.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science from a four-year college in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent. Six months to one year work experience in RF wireless engineering on telecommunications systems.
OR
Associates Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology and Two or more years work experience in RF wireless engineering on telecommunications systems.
