Title: Microwave Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Perform the design, and implementation of microwave transport Networks, including topology, capacity planning, redundancy planning and all network and environmental needs.
- Prepared and present MW network design using tools such as Pathloss and MapInfo
- Generate link budgets and provide design input using various frequency ranges (2, 6, 10, 11, 18, 22 GHz etc) and radio vendors and equipment (DMC, Alcatel, Western Multiplex, Dragonwave etc.).
- Perform site evaluation, path engineering and microwave equipment selection.
- Provide market level planning and ring design.
- Identifie potential gateway sites, aggregation sites, access sites, spur sites, and end target buildings.
- Use orthomaps to identify and correct buildings' exact locations.
- Conduct detailed site surveys including complete site evaluation of candidate sites, sketch and identify suitable antenna placement and radio equipment locations.
- Conduct LOS surveys, manage and report LOS data
- Generate link engineering reports for each path and bill of materials for each site, and submitted path data for frequency coordination.
- Generate path calculations and sent for frequency coordination. Manage licensing issues.
- Support microwave network deployment and problem-solve path issues
Requirements: Bachelor of Science from a four-year college in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent. 3 years work experience in microwave engineering of telecommunications systems. Frequent travel.
